TRAFFIC ALERT Semi-truck Rolls Over on I-94 Near Detroit Metro Airport, Cleanup Expected to Take Hours (2)

ROMULUS, Mich.(DDN) – A semi-truck driver lost control and turned over on I-94 near Detroit’s airport; the exit is now closed.

According to Michigan State Police, the truck lost control while driving east on I-94 at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to police, the motorist smashed into the center median railing before continuing across the westbound lanes and onto Merriman Road.

The motorist was examined on the scene for minor injuries.

“This crash could have been far worse. “We were fortunate that there was no traffic on Merriman at the time of the crash,” stated First Lieutenant Michael Shaw. ”

This serves as another reminder to drive at a safe and reasonable speed. Every driver must keep control of their car.

MSP stated that cleaning up the mess will take approximately two hours, and the freeway’s westbound lanes exit is closed.

Police did not explain what prompted the driver to lose control.
