DDN – A retail theft bust in San Bernardino County resulted in the arrests of 19 people.

The California Highway Patrol carried out the operation, which targeted the Mountain Grove and Citrus Plaza shopping areas in Redlands.

On January 17, officers collaborated with retailers on surveillance operations to apprehend theft suspects.

During the operation, 19 persons were arrested, and 95 stolen items were found. The stolen items were valued at more than $3,700, according to CHP.

Photos from the arrests reveal a variety of stolen items, including Nike footwear, athletic apparel, jewelry, accessories, office and craft materials, and more.

The identity of the suspects has not been revealed since the thefts are still being investigated.

“We want to thank the retailers and law enforcement personnel who work tirelessly to protect our community from organized retail crime,” according to CHP representatives.

“The California Highway Patrol has established dedicated Organized Retail Crime Task Forces across the state.” These teams collaborate with shops to confront sophisticated crews that continue to target merchants around the state.
