LAFAYETTE COUNTY (DDN) – Late Sunday night, a man from Lexington was murdered and three other people were injured in a crash that occurred in Lexington.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a 34-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Sonic.
He crossed the middle of U.S. 24, which is located half a mile east of County Farm Road, and collided head-on with a Ford Explorer that was being driven by a 19-year-old lady from Gladstone.
The Sonic went off the road and the Explorer flipped over when they collided. The man from Lexington was declared dead at the location of the incident.
The woman sustained severe injuries. An infant and a 22-year-old man from Gladstone, both of whom were passengers in her vehicle, suffered minor injuries.
Her passenger from Alabama, who was 26 years old, had moderate injuries. Everyone was sent to Centerpoint Medical Center to receive medical care.
