Bicyclist Killed in Fort Lauderdale Crash as Police Investigate Cause of Deadly Accident

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (DDN) – In Broward County, police are looking into a deadly accident that included a bicyclist.

On Tuesday, at around 7:15 p.m., an incident occurred on the 5400 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.

The police stated that they responded after they received reports of a car hitting a person who was riding a bicycle.

Crews from Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue also showed up after the incident.

The authorities stated that the victim was declared dead at the location of the incident.

According to the police, the motorist stayed around the location of the accident after it happened.

It is yet unknown whether speed or alcohol were factors in the incident, or whether the driver will be charged with anything.
