Miami Police Searching for Two Suspects Who Stabbed Driver During Violent Altercation in Little Havana

MIAMI (DDN)According to authorities, a guy who provided unauthorized transportation services was stabbed Tuesday after an encounter with two customers in Miami’s Little Havana district. At 12:15 p.m., Miami police officers responded to an emergency call in the 600 block of Southwest 10th Avenue.

According to police, the incident began when the driver picked up a male and female in Kendall and then stopped in Little Havana to visit a family member, at which point the passengers began bickering.

When the driver arrived and watched the altercation, authorities claim he urged them to leave the car.

Shortly after, investigators reported that the passengers resisted, resulting in a confrontation between the driver and a male passenger.

According to officials, the female passenger then intervened and chopped the driver’s arm with a sharp weapon.

They stated that following the altercation, the two passengers escaped eastbound on foot. The motorist suffered a laceration on his arm and was sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to investigators.

Miami police are continuing their investigation and have contacted the motorist for more information. They stated the suspects are still at large.

A Local 10 News team was on the site, where police were focusing on an SUV with the license plate NWYM80, which was thought to be involved to the incident.
