60-Year-Old Odessa Man Dies After Pickup and Towed Vehicle Cross Lane

ODESSA, Tex. (DDN) – According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a man from Odessa died in a four-vehicle accident in Ector County on Tuesday.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Gregory Gardner, who was 60 years old, died after a pickup truck and the car it was pulling moved into the lane he was driving in.

The accident occurred close to the intersection of Mercedes Avenue and W. University Boulevard.

According to DPS, a GMC Sierra was pulling another Sierra, driving eastbound on University. The Sierra moved into the westbound lanes and collided with a BMW X3.

A 30-year-old lady from Midland was driving the BMW. She was taken to the hospital in “serious condition.”

According to the Department of Public Safety, the Sierra that was hauled crashed into Gardner’s Toyota Rav4. Gardener was pronounced deceased at the spot.

The inquiry into the crash is still ongoing.
