90-Year-Old Woman Killed in Double-Car Collision in New York City; Probe Opened

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. (DDN) – According to police and other reports, a woman who was 90 years old was hit and killed by two cars, one of which was a yellow cab, while she was crossing a roadway on the Upper East Side on Wednesday evening.

According to investigators and reports, Frances Rickard was crossing at York Avenue and East 72nd Street at approximately 5:40 p.m. when she was struck by a taxi that was doing a U-turn. The driver of the taxi was a guy who was 68 years old.

According to the authorities, a 35-year-old woman driving a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer crashed into Rickard just moments after she was hit by the cab.

According to the authorities, the older citizen, who lived on the Upper West Side, was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center in an emergency situation, where she later died from her injuries.

According to the police, both drivers remained at the site and have not been charged in connection with the fatal crash.
