CHANDLER, Ariz. (DDN) – Crews are on the scene of a crash in Chandler that involves a car fire.
The accident seems to have caused a power outage for some residents in the East Valley community as well.
According to reports, the crash occurred in the vicinity of McQueen and Knox Roads.
According to a statement released by officials from the Chandler Fire Department, police and fire crews rushed to the site of an incident in which a car drove into a transformer pole.
According to officials, both the pole and the truck caught fire, and workers worked to extinguish the flames.
According to a fire department spokesperson, SRP workers are on the site.

Recently, a three-car collision involving a stolen vehicle claimed the lives of a young child and two men, leaving an Arizona community in mourning.
On the morning of Monday, February 3, a Ford F250 truck was stolen from the neighboring town of Gilbert, according to a statement from the Mesa Police Department.
According to reports, a 29-year-old male named Damarya Zyberi swerved into the median lane while traveling north on Val Vista Drive in Mesa.
According to authorities, a car struck a Nissan Armada that was heading south in the center lane head-on. A second car, parked behind the Nissan, was also involved in the collision.
Troy Garlock, the Nissan’s 42-year-old driver, was discovered dead at the scene, according to authorities. According to the family, Garlock’s daughters, Elsie, age 8, and Mabel, age 6, were in the back seat when the accident occurred.
At the hospital, the 8-year-old was declared dead. According to authorities, the 6-year-old is receiving medical attention for his wounds.
