20-year-old Man Dead in Suspected Street Race on I-45 in Houston, Investigation Ongoing

HOUSTON, Tex. (DDN) – More information has been released by the authorities regarding a guy who died in an automobile accident that occurred last Friday at a high speed.

Markeveon Miller, a 20-year-old man, was identified as the person who was slain, according to the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division.

Miller was driving a black Pontiac G6 sedan at a fast pace in a northbound direction on I-45, close to 7700 North Freeway, shortly after 8:30 p.m. on February 7. Authorities suspect that he may have been racing a blue Mercedes Benz 320 car.

The two automobiles left the interstate near West Gulf Bank Road. Miller’s vehicle crossed several lanes on the service road and crashed into the curb on the far-right side. His Pontiac drove into a grassy area, hit a concrete pipe, and rolled over numerous times.

The Mercedes driver saw the accident happen and came back to the location. After officials established that he was sober, he was questioned and then released.

Miller was taken to a neighboring hospital by HFD first responders, who declared him dead upon arrival.

The inquiry into the accident is still in progress.
