Single-Car Crash in Kankakee County Leaves One Dead, Child Injured

BRADLEY, Illi. (DDN) –Last Friday, a single-vehicle accident occurred in Kankakee County, Illinois, resulting in the death of the driver of a car and the injury of a kid.

The accident took place in Bradley at approximately 5:10 p.m. in the 600 block of West Goodwin Street, which is located just west of Central Avenue, according to the findings of the police.

On Friday, the Bradley police department was dispatched to the scene of the accident.

It was on the north side of the street that they discovered the vehicle that had been involved in a head-on collision with a tree.

After the collision, both the driver and a minor passenger were sent to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee to receive medical treatment for the injuries they sustained.

The driver was then transported by helicopter to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. An air ambulance was used to transport the young passenger to Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago. The condition of the infant was brought under control.

On Saturday, the Bradley police department received the news that the driver had passed away.

The collision is currently being investigated by the police.

When the crash occurred, it was not obvious what exactly caused it.
