CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (DDN) – A man in Canandaigua was taken into custody this week following the discovery of a significant stash of drugs, which included over 9,000 tabs of LSD along with pounds of cocaine, marijuana, and various other substances.
On Monday, Ontario County Sheriff David J. Cirencione reported that Jeffrey R. Johnson, 42, faced charges of first- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities announced the arrest following an extensive probe into cocaine distribution in the Canandaigua region, according to deputies.
Johnson was taken into custody after officers pulled over his vehicle as he left the state Thruway at Exit 43 (Manchester – Palmyra), according to Cirencione. Authorities carried out several search warrants related to Johnson on Monday night and Tuesday.

Authorities discovered a range of illicit substances:
- 3.3 pounds of cocaine
- 9,108 tabs of LSD
- 6 pounds of marijuana
- 6.7 pounds of mushroom (with suspected Psilocybin)
- 3.5 pounds of ketamine
- 27.9 ounces MDMA
- 92 ecstasy pills
Authorities discovered a total of $6,879 in cash.
Further arrests may occur as the investigation progresses, Cirencione stated.
On Tuesday, Johnson appeared in Ontario County CAP Court and is currently held in the Ontario County Jail without bail, awaiting further court proceedings.
