Three Arrested in Vero Beach Narcotics Raid Following Complaints from Residents

VERO BEACH, Flo. (DDN) – According to the Vero Beach Police Department, multiple Vero Beach homeowners filed complaints, resulting in a narcotics bust and the arrest of three people.

On Tuesday, the Vero Beach Police Department’s Critical Response Team and Sebastian Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 1813 36th Avenue. Investigators arrested the home’s owner, Michael Knight, Philip Carlsward, and Adriana Koester.

Officers searched the home and discovered several pill capsules and baggies containing a white powdery substance weighing 8.9 grams and testing positive for fentanyl. Officers also discovered marijuana, cocaine, medical medications, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia, including syringes, glass pipes, clear capsules, and plastic bags.

When Knight spoke with officers, he admitted to possessing, using, and distributing fentanyl. He also admitted to discarding and attempted to dispose of fentanyl capsules in the bathroom of his residence.

Knight was booked on counts of:

  • Trafficking/possession of Fentanyl more than 4 grams
  • Trafficking fentanyl with the intent to sell
  • possession of cocaine
  • Tamper with or Destroy Evidence
  • Possession on controlled substance- no prescription
  • possession of drug paraphernalia

Carlsward was booked on counts of:

  • Possession of weapons/ammo by a convicted felon
  • possession of drug paraphernalia

Koester is booked on counts of:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Carlsward was identified as a convicted offender and was caught in possession of ammunition and drug paraphernalia. Koester was found in possession of a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
