BELLEVILLE, Wis. (DDN) – A Friday morning incident in Wisconsin involved an SUV that collided with a parked car and two buildings, following an elderly driver’s accidental acceleration.
On Friday at approximately 6:39 a.m., emergency responders from the Belleville Police Department and Fire Department were dispatched to a vehicle crash in the 100 block of West Main Street (State Highway 69/92).
An initial inquiry uncovered that an SUV was trying to park when it collided with a stationary vehicle, surmounting the curb and impacting two structures. The SUV stopped abruptly in front of one of the structures.

The individual in the impacted vehicle reported hitting their head on the steering wheel during the collision, but chose not to seek medical assistance.
A 91-year-old resident of Belleville, driving an SUV, was found to have accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal. The individuals have been directed to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for an assessment of their driving safety capabilities.
