Authorities are looking into a serious incident where a pickup truck smashed into a hair salon in Louisburg, Kansas, leaving two people badly hurt on Tuesday.
Louisburg Police reported that officers and emergency crews rushed to Safari Hair Styling, located at the corner of West Amity Street and Rogers Street, after a driver plowed his vehicle into the building and hit two people inside.
According to the police, the man driving the pickup was heading west on Amity Street when he veered off the road just east of Rogers Road. He drove over the curb, continued eastward, and crashed through the east wall of the salon.
The truck kept going, striking a man and a woman who were sitting at a desk inside, before smashing through the west wall and hitting a parked car in the lot outside.

Both victims were rushed to Overland Park Regional Hospital. One was in critical condition and needed urgent surgery, while the other was listed as seriously injured. The driver, meanwhile, received treatment at the scene for minor injuries, as handled by EMS.
The investigation into what caused the crash is still underway, and police haven’t released details about the victims’ current status or what led to the incident. After the crash, someone shared a photo on social media showing a car amid debris outside the salon, along with a big hole in the building’s side where the truck is thought to have burst through.
