Galveston County Officials Raid Massage Parlors in Prostitution Investigation

According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, two unlawful massage parlours in Galveston County were raided for the purpose of committing charges related to human trafficking and prostitution.

After conducting surveillance, conducting interviews, and doing undercover operations, the detectives were able to acquire information that led them to Royal Thai Massage, which is located at 1825 E. Main Street in League City, Texas, and Leela Thai Massage, which is located at 17333 El Camino Real in Houston, Texas.

According to information provided by officials, the businesses were functioning as fronts for operations related to prostitution.

In the course of the inquiry, search warrants were carried out at the massage parlours as well as at the residence of a suspect who resides in the Caroline Apartments in Houston.

While the operation was taking place, the suspect, Ying Qui Yang Brown, who is 57 years old, was taken into custody for aggravated promotion of prostitution.

The investigation is still ongoing, and additional charges are being considered against other individuals who were involved in the operation.

The operation was directed by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, which worked in conjunction with the Organised Crime Task Force, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, and Unbound. A response was also made by the FBI to the raid.
