His children are cheering after free promotion turns into big Massachusetts State Lottery win for father

Dorchester, MA

– Steven Dygon Jr. of Chicopee has won a $100,000 Mass Cash grand prize on a free Quic Pic ticket he received as part of a Massachusetts State Lottery promotion.

In the Mass Lottery’s “Fishin’ for Quic Pics” promotion that ran from May 6 through May 19, Mass Lottery customers had a chance to win a free $1 Quic Pic ticket for Mass Cash, The Numbers Game or Keno with the purchase of $4 or more of any draw or monitor game on a single ticket.

Dygon Jr. received his lucky ticket after making a qualifying Keno ticket purchase at 7-Eleven, 425 Springfield St. in Springfield. He won his prize when the five numbers on his free, promotional Quic Pic ticket matched those selected in the Friday, May 16 Mass Cash drawing. The winning numbers were 10-11-15-18-25.

Dygon Jr. claimed his $100,000 prize (before taxes) Tuesday, May 27 at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s West Springfield claim center. The store location will receive a $1,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket that produced the winning promotional ticket. He said he plans on taking his children to Disney with the winnings.
