Motorcycle rider suffers significant injuries in collision with truck on Route 6

Massachusetts personnel responded Wednesday to a collision with serious injuries.

According to police, at just after 4:15 p.m., the Bourne Police and Fire Departments were on the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Scenic Highway (Route 6) in the area of Edgehill Road.

A pickup truck in westbound traffic made an illegal U-Turn striking a motorcycle.

The motorcycle operator was transported with what are believed to be significant non-life-threatening injuries.

PD stated that there are no U-turns authorized on Scenic Highway except at intersections where not prohibited by signs.
