Fall River school releases name of teen who died in dirt bike crash

Police are looking into a collision that happened Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the Fall River Police Department is looking into a dirt bike accident that happened near Atlantis Charter School, 991 Jefferson Street, involving a young rider.

According to scanner transmissions, a boy was engaged in the call, which was received shortly before 3:45 p.m.

For medical care, the youngster had been taken to a nearby hospital.

The Atlantis Charter School reports that the boy’s injuries had caused his death.

To the people of Atlantis,

I regret to inform you that one of our high school classmates has passed away. Earlier afternoon, Bentley Souza was engaged in an accident and died. I express my sincere condolences on behalf of our whole school community to everyone who knew Bentley, but especially to his family and close friends, who are currently dealing with an unfathomable loss.
