(CBS DETROIT) On Saturday night, a train struck an automobile in southwest Michigan, killing one person and injuring three children.

The fatal collision occurred in the city of Coloma, Berrien County, at around 7:06 p.m. at a railroad crossing on Clements Court north of East Logan Street.

At the scene, one adult driver was declared dead. Coloma Township police say three children are in stable condition after being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The victims’ names will not be made public by the police until the families have been notified.
