The Akron Police Department is on the lookout for a man believed to have robbed a local grocery store at knifepoint yesterday morning. The incident involved the suspect demanding money from the store’s safe at the Value Food Market on the 500 block of South Canton Road at around 9:35 a.m.

reported that upon arrival, the Akron officers were informed by a store employee of the man’s actions before he took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.
The authorities described the suspect as being 40-50 years old, at least 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing around 190-210 pounds. The Akron police released photographs of the individual considered a person of interest in the robbery. In the release shared by
