Allegiant Unveils Record-Tying Expansion with 44 New Nonstop Routes, Including Colorado Springs, Gulf Shores, and Columbia

Allegiant Travel Company has laid down the gauntlet with 44 new nonstop routes, tying the record for its most significant growth to date, in what is considered to be one of the largest single expansions in its operating history, according to Colorado Springs.gov. This significant growth, which includes service to three new locations, is expected to improve connectivity and provide ultra-low-cost travel options to underserved regions, making it simpler and more economical for leisure travelers to fly.

The airline is expanding its reach and connecting a significant number of dots across the United States, as evidenced by the addition of three new airport connections to its service map: Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina, Gulf Shores International Airport in Alabama, and Colorado Springs Airport in Colorado. With new flights to popular locations like Phoenix/Mesa, Santa Ana/Orange County, and St. Pete/Tampa, Colorado Springs locals in particular are in for a treat. One-way rates as low as $39 are guaranteed to pique interest in travel.

In response to this development, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, Drew Wells, said, “These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to meet customer demand,” emphasizing Allegiant’s capacity to offer “affordability and convenience” for travelers, according to the City of Colorado Springs. By providing nonstop flights and low price, the company sets itself out as a preferred airline for leisure travel, especially in places where there were previously few or no options for air transportation.

The community is excited about Allegiant’s entry, according to Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation at Colorado Springs Airport (COS), who also noted that the alliance satisfies a “long expressed desire for convenient and low-cost travel options,” according to the City of Colorado Springs. By aligning service start times with popular travel seasons like holidays and school vacations, Allegiant is leveraging its successful leisure demand-satisfying business model to position itself for a successful 2025 year and thrive on customer-focused air travel.
