Angeli’s Pizzeria Bar Set to Open Fifth Baltimore Location in The Fitzgerald at Mount Vernon

Baltimore is getting another slice of Angeli’s Pizzeria Bar. The restaurant will take over the recently vacated Noonan’s restaurant and set up its fifth location in the city at The Fitzgerald apartment complex in Mount Vernon. According to a press release and as reported by WMAR-2 News, the opening is slated for December and will see Angeli’s Pizzeria expand its footprint in a significant Baltimore residential community.

The chain, already established in Little Italy, Fed Hill, Govans, and a pop-up at Harborplace, is expanding to the Fitzgerald, which has 275 apartments, a large garage, and commercial spaces. The area is popular with students and visitors, thanks to its proximity to the Maryland Institute College of Art and the University of Baltimore. Mert and Juniet Ozturk, the brothers behind Angeli’s, are confident in their new venture, citing their loyal customer base and strong relationship with MCB Real Estate, which also owns Harborplace.

Baltimore Fishbowl highlighted Juniet Ozturk’s statement regarding the strategic move, “recognized the outstanding opportunity to establish a new location within a high-profile residential community and expand the brand further in Baltimore City.” This keen business move was fueled by the bustling, inherent market within The Fitzgerald’s immediate vicinity, ushering in a fresh culinary chapter for the already well-acquainted residents and the substantial student demographic.

Famous for its New York-style “build-your-own” pizza with options like chicken pesto or marinated chicken breast, together with a bevy of entrees such as house-marinated wings, calzones, and various sandwiches, Angeli’s Pizzeria has been met with both public and critical acclaim, crafting a stellar reputation for gastronomic delight and community presence.

The Tasbas family is also part of the ownership and management team, adding to the family-driven dynamic of the establishment. As Angeli’s gears up for its December opening, the homegrown chain continues to leverage its family-oriented spirit and strategic partnerships to bake up success and slice a bigger piece of the Baltimore pizza market.
