Animal Abuse Investigation Underway After Cattle Shot and Killed

MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo. – Law enforcement is seeking the community’s help in identifying and locating the suspects who are believed to have killed and injured cattle with a firearm.

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office and Montrose Regional Crime Stoppers, the suspects were involved in criminal mischief and animal abuse near 25 Mesa Road, about 1 mile south of the Delta-Montrose County Line. The individuals are believed to have used a firearm to kill and injure cattle on Sunday between 4 and 10 a.m.
