Atlanta Commuters Alert: Lane Closures on Andrew Young International Blvd for Sidewalk Repairs

Beginning next week, Atlanta commuters should get ready for impending changes in traffic patterns. Lane closures on Andrew Young International Boulevard NE between Piedmont Avenue NE and Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW have been issued by the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT). According to the ATLDOT website, the disruption will begin this coming Monday and last until the project is finished. It will be occurring on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for sidewalk and ramp repairs.

In order to prevent delays, ATLDOT recommends drivers to look for alternate routes. One lane will be temporarily blocked between Piedmont Avenue NE and Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW while repairs are being made. At least one open lane for automobile traffic will always be maintained by traffic management.

Traffic control staff will be on-site to assist commuters in navigating the altered traffic environment. The public is being thanked by the department for their cooperation and patience while the repairs are being made. If you have any queries or issues, you can contact ATLDOT by email.
