The suspects, both described as Black males wearing ski masks and distinct athletic shoes, fled the scene and remain at large. Atlanta Police have shared surveillance photos from a nearby convenience store. Officers are urging anyone with information to reach the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at (404) 577-8477.
In a subsequent, unrelated robbery reported last Monday, the Clayton County Police Department is on the hunt for two men responsible for an armed robbery at the Valero Gas Station off Highway 85 in Riverdale. The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. According to
Atlanta News First
, one suspect accosted the clerk and emptied the register while the other acted as lookout.
After the robbery, the duo reportedly ran towards Warren Drive. Clayton County Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that could assist in their capture. Witnesses or individuals with knowledge of their whereabouts can contact the authorities at 770-477-3641. The department has not indicated whether the two incidents are connected, but the close proximity of the events have raised concerns about a possible pattern of targeted gas station crimes in the Atlanta area.
