The victim was subsequently identified by authorities as Elijah Martinez, a male Hispanic who was born on December 27, 1984. The incident became a homicide inquiry after Martinez passed away from his wounds at 8:12 p.m., despite being taken to a nearby hospital quickly. The deceased was discovered next to a homeless camp, and the area of concern was next to an AutoZone, according to the APD announcement.
