Austin Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting, Suspect Fatally Shot After Escalating Crime Spree

The Austin Police Department (APD) is deep into the investigation of a recent officer-involved shooting that transpired on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 7. The incident, which concluded with a suspect being fatally shot, occurred at 9501 N FM 620, as announced by the

An encounter between Labrie and law enforcement escalated when he reportedly pointed a handgun at one of the detectives. The fatal shooting by police occurred at 8:47 a.m., and despite life-saving efforts, Labrie was pronounced dead shortly after.
