In observance of Veterans Day, the City of Austin will be shutting down various government offices, including City Council offices, recreation and senior centers, cultural centers, museums, and libraries on Monday, November 11, according to a recent

Nevertheless, city parks, playgrounds, and other outdoor recreational facilities will remain accessible to the public for their usual hours.

The announcement also specified that essential services like trash, recycling, composting, and curbside collections will maintain their regular schedule, despite the Veterans Day holiday, ensuring that municipal services are not disrupted for Austin’s residents, for ease and accessibility.
