Baltimore Police Arrest Four Suspects and Seize Two Handguns Following Carjacking Incident

A regular patrol in Baltimore’s Western District took an unexpected turn last night when police got a tip about a carjacking in the area. The Baltimore Police posted a description of the incident, including a synchronized reaction that resulted in the recovery of two handguns with ammunition and the arrest of four guys.

The carjacking escalated at approximately 7:25 p.m. when a detective’s vehicle equipped with a License Plate Reader (LPR) detected the presence of the stolen vehicle near the 600 block of Poplar Grove Street. Detectives, along with members of various police units, including Foxtrot, the Metro Mobile Unit (MMU), and Southwest District patrol officers, quickly located the vehicle and the suspects. Four males, one of whom was 20 years old, and the other three, who were all 18 years old, were apprehended.

The Central Booking Intake Facility is where the suspects are being processed, according to the police post. As of this writing, the department has not disclosed their identities or the allegations against them.
