Bartow Mother Dies in SUV-Semi Collision, Young Daughter Injured but Expected to Recover

A 24-year-old lady in Bartow lost her life in a sad mishap after she collided her SUV with a semi-truck, injuring her young daughter. The collision happened yesterday near the intersection of Ernest Smith Boulevard and US Highway 17 at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to WTSP, the woman struck the back of a 2019 Freightliner semi-truck while operating a 2013 Honda CRV after failing to stop at a red light.

It was thought that the 2-year-old daughter, who was in the passenger seat at the time of the collision, had sustained minor injuries.
