Massachusetts residents love their pizza and apparently so do some of their reps on Beacon Hill.
On Thursday, the Massachusetts Senate referred SD 2852 to the Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.
The bill, presented by Michael D. Brady representing the Second Plymouth and Norfolk Districts, is as follows:
“Chapter 2 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting the following section:-
“Section 65. Bar pizza, a type of pizza characterized by its thin, crispy crust, individual 10-inch pan size, edge-to-edge cheese, and a unique preparation style common to the south shore region of the commonwealth, shall be the official pizza of the commonwealth.”
Fall River Reporter sent an email to Brady’s office requesting his thoughts on the bill and have not yet received a response.
