Black & Mobile Black-owned restaurant delivery app returns to Detroit

To celebrate Black History Month, some Detroit grocery companies take delivery orders every Thursday in February exclusively through the black-owned Black and Mobile grocery delivery service.

Black and Mobile recently returned after a hiatus to serve the Detroit market. Currently operating in four cities across the country, expansion is planned in 2021.

The third-party delivery service is affiliated with more than a dozen Detroit businesses, but only a few are offered exclusively to Black and Mobile on Thursdays in February. These include Moor Herbs Smoothie and Health Store, Le Petit Dejeuner and Yum Village restaurants, and the Midtown and 8 Mile Jamaican Pot locations.

Other restaurants in the area, such as Kuzzos Chicken and Waffles, D Loft Cafe and Generations Bistro Soul Food, also deliver via the smartphone app or Black and Mobile’s website,
