Boston Police Search for Suspect in Inappropriate Touching Cases at Snowden International School

A guy who has been linked to several instances of inappropriate touching involving pupils from Snowden International School, which is close to Copley Square, is being sought by Boston police. The 450-student school, which is located in the Back Bay neighborhood, gained notoriety after the guy allegedly made unwelcome physical contact with a number of youngsters as they entered and left the building.

According to NBC Boston, when police arrived at the school after receiving complaints, the disturbing behavior was brought to light at approximately 11:30 a.m. The community’s sense of dread has been echoed by a woman who told NBC Boston, “That’s scary, that it’s happening right here.”WCVB documented incidents in which the suspect, captured on security footage, touched a student’s butt and, in another case, made inappropriate physical contact while questioning the student’s physical fitness.

According to WCVB, the most recent incident happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, and both reports emphasized that the occurrences had taken place in a heavily populated location. The fact that the man appears to be a serial offender with prior interactions reported to the authorities raises even more concerns.

In response, Boston Public Schools has strengthened safety by taking preventative actions. “We are also encouraging families to remind students about the importance of being aware of their surroundings and reporting any concerning behavior to their school,” the school district said in a statement that echoed police statements that stressed the importance of situational awareness and advised students and families to remain vigilant. In the next days, school officials have pledged to boost the number of Safety Services on campus. According to WCVB news, a Boston police car was already seen positioned across the school on Thursday afternoon, possibly as a precaution against more occurrences and to calm the school community.
