In an effort to identify a suspect in last Sunday night’s armed robbery, the Boston Police Department is requesting community help. The BPD stated that the incident happened at the 7-Eleven on 140 Main Street in Charlestown at approximately 10:26 p.m. According to reports, the suspect jumped over the counter, brandishing a gun, and stole money from the register.
The suspect, who was described as a Caucasian man with a scruffy beard, was last seen sporting blue trousers, black running sneakers, sunglasses, a black baseball cap, and a black sweatshirt. In an effort to identify more information that could result in the capture of the man who brandished a firearm and caused anxiety in the Charlestown neighborhood, authorities are sifting through security footage.
Community members and business owners have been asked to come forward with any information that could help identify and apprehend the criminal. Detectives from the Boston Police Department’s District A-1/A-15 are aggressively investigating the case and are looking for public tips.
