The Massachusetts State Trooper and the suspect have been named in relation to an incident that happened on Monday.
A motorbike hit a State Trooper outside his cruiser on Revere Beach Boulevard in front of the Revere Barracks just before 5:00 p.m., according to Massachusetts State Police. The Trooper suffered severe injuries and was catapulted around 45 feet as a result of the crash.
The scene was responded to by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Crime Scene Services Section.
According to preliminary information, the motorcycle was taken.
The 18-year-old Revere resident Akram El Moukhtari is the suspect. On accusations of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen car, and fleeing the scene of personal harm, he is scheduled to be arraigned at Chelsea District Court. It is yet unknown when the arraignment will take place.
The injured Trooper was recognized by the Massachusetts State Police as the Revere Barracks’ Station Commander, Lieutenant Donald Bossi.
Under the supervision of the medical staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, Lieutenant Bossi’s health is still stable but serious.
The public and Lieutenant Bossi’s coworkers at the Barracks and throughout the workplace were thanked by the Bossi family for their overwhelming support. While they concentrate on Lieutenant Bossi’s recuperation, they humbly ask for privacy at this time.
Following this horrific event, the Massachusetts State Police would want to thank the public for their support of Lieutenant Donald Bossi, his family, and our Department. Without Lieutenant Bossi’s fortitude and remarkable strength, as well as the treatment he received on the scene, during the ambulance ride, and at the hospital, yesterday’s tragic tragedy may have been fatal. Because to the numerous troopers who put their emotions aside in the wake of this incident to fulfill their duties and meet the situation by capturing the fugitive suspect, our neighborhood is safer. We continue to be extremely appreciative of these encouraging advancements. Geoffrey Noble, Colonel
