Boulder Boosts Recreational Spaces with Racket Court Renovations and New ADA Compliant Bridge at Coot Lake

The city of Boulder has been making significant improvements to its community amenities, such as replacing an old pedestrian bridge at Coot Lake and renovating racket sports courts. The City of Boulder claims that in order to guarantee ongoing public use and enjoyment, the latter portion of this year was particularly concentrated on these renovations.

Addressing the deteriorating wooden pedestrian bridge in the southeast corner of Coot Lake was an essential component of this project. The city administration made the decision to close the gap by installing two parking spaces that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and replacing and regrading a portion of the adjacent parking lot. “In addition to replacing the bridge, the city added two ADA accessible spots in the parking lot and regraded a portion of the lot to improve accessibility,” according to a report from the City of Boulder.
