Brockton teen to be arraigned in Fall River Superior Court concerning 16-year-old shot in the head

Brockton teen to be arraigned in Fall River Superior Court concerning 16-year-old shot in the head

EASTON — Chief Keith Boone reports that the Easton Police Department has made a third

arrest following a lengthy investigation into a shooting that occurred on January 14, 2025.

On Friday morning, an arrest warrant was issued for 19-year-old Antonio Fonseca of Brockton. He was taken into custody at his Brockton residence by Easton Police Detectives with the assistance of Brockton Police and the Massachusetts State Police. He is expected to be arraigned later today in Fall River Superior Court.

Fonseca was indicted earlier this week on the charges of Assault & Battery with a Firearm, Armed Robbery, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm

The victim, a 16-year-old female, was found by police suffering from a gunshot wound to the head on January 14th in a parking lot outside of her Easton residence. She survived the attack but is still recovering from significant injuries.

Anthony Lopes and Xavion Barnes, both of Brockton, were previously arrested in connection with the shooting.

“I’d like to commend our Detective Division for their work on this case and thank the numerous law enforcement agencies that assisted us with the investigation” Boone said in a statement.
