Parents and staff are concerned about the abrupt closing of Brio Studios in Brookfield. The studio, which had been a well-liked location for dance activities, abruptly shut down, leaving staff and family in the dark. Program director Jade Mattner is among the staff members who are having financial issues. Mattner stated on TMJ4 that “the last paycheck that cleared was in September.”
According to TMJ4News, the owner requested that parents not get in touch with her and offered no compensation for the monetary losses or the abrupt termination of the dance lessons. In an interview, Mattner stated, “I was promised $300 a day starting on November 4th, and I haven’t seen a dime of it.”
Following the cancellation of her dance classes and an impending recital, Brittany Arata expressed her worries to FOX6Now about the effect on her 4-year-old daughter. Arata clarified, “It just gives her so much confidence and she loves it,”
“I know the family is having some hard times right now with a diagnosis that they received in the family,” said Sami Teel, whose daughter attended the class.
