Yesterday morning, Northern District officers responded to reports of a non-contact shooting near Belle Grove Road and 10th Avenue in Brooklyn. The incident occurred at approximately 4:05 a.m. when a driver reported that his vehicle had been struck by a projectile fired from a passing black SUV.

Anne Arundel County Police
, the victim reported that a black male in his 20s drove the SUV. The victim explained that he had just passed the SUV on Belle Grove Road when he suddenly heard a gunshot, followed by the sound of something hitting the rear of his vehicle. After stopping at a nearby service station to check, he found damage to the back of his car, which he believes was caused by the gunshot.
The suspect’s vehicle fled the scene, and despite an extensive search, officers could not locate it. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Northern District detectives have taken over the investigation and are working to determine what led to the shooting. Authorities encourage anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information regarding the black SUV or the suspect to reach out.
