DDN – During a retail theft operation, law enforcement officials in Northern California were able to recover products worth thousands of dollars, including 400 dollars’ worth of baby formula.
The Folsom-Olson-Zinfandel shopping area was the location of a retail theft operation that was recently carried out by the Rancho Cordova Police Department at the request of Sacramento County Probation officers.
The Richmond County Police Department (RCPD) said that the team recovered $5,732.48 worth of stolen property, made 11 arrests for felonies per the new Proposition 36 statute, and issued four misdemeanor penalties.
According to the Royal Canadian Police Department (RCPD), during the operations, a couple was taken into custody after it was discovered that they had stolen baby formula worth a total of four thousand dollars.
Following this, the detectives went on to write a search warrant for their residence, stating that they had found more stockpiles of baby formula that had been stolen.
According to a statement posted on social media by the Royal Canadian Police Department (RCPD), “RCPD understands the burden retail theft places on the community, consumers, and retailers.”
Because of the new regulations that carry harsher consequences for those who violate them, we will continue to perform these kinds of operations regularly to assist in the fight against this trend of criminal activity.
