California Woman Killed in ATV Crash in Bibb County, New York Passenger Injured and Hospitalized

A woman from California has died in an ATV accident that occurred in Bibb County on Sunday afternoon. The event also resulted in a guy from New York being injured and sent to the hospital.

According to Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Troopers, the collision occurred on Lawley Junction Road in southern Bibb County at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

According to King, Zelina R. Rosales, who was 31 years old at the time, was operating a Can-Am Commander side-by-side ATV in 2016 when she veered off the roadway and crashed into a ditch.

Rosales, who resided in San Diego, California, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, according to King, and she was thus pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

A New York resident passenger, who was 25 years old at the time of the incident, sustained injuries and was sent to Bibb Medical Center in Centreville for medical treatment.

As of Monday morning, there was no additional information available, and King stated that the Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama State Police will continue their investigation into the deadly collision.
