SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Cali. (DDN) – A woman in Southern California has been taken into custody following an incident where her car went over an embankment.
A woman was arrested in San Bernardino County for allegedly stealing over $3,000 in retail products. Officials reported that she tried to escape from the police and ended up crashing her vehicle down a steep embankment.
On Feb. 14, an event occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. at a round-the-clock pharmacy located at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Mountain Avenue in Upland.
Officers from the Upland Police Department were called to a pharmacy regarding a theft in progress. An employee reported that a single female suspect had filled multiple carts with merchandise, but when confronted, she was only able to flee the store with one cart.

According to witnesses, she threw the stolen items into a red Kia Soul and drove away from the scene.
In a recent news update shared on social media, officials reported that responding officers managed to find a vehicle heading southbound in heavy traffic on Mountain Avenue, but the driver did not pull over when police tried to stop her.
A woman, pursued by police, entered the westbound freeway, later exiting at Fairplex Drive. She tried to evade authorities in the hills near Brackett Field Airport in La Verne.
“The female then entered an RV park where she misjudged a turn, slid down an embankment into the bushes,” the release detailed.
Footage from a body-worn camera captures an officer stepping out of his vehicle with his gun drawn, moving towards the crashed car.
A suspect has been taken into custody, and approximately $3,145 worth of merchandise was found in her vehicle.
