Carve Your Path: Join Ranger Rick for Hiking Stick Workshop at Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center

An program offered by the DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Affairs aims to bring the two together. Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Center, 3787 Klondike Rd., Stonecrest, GA, will host a hiking stick workshop on December 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rangers Rick, an experienced guide who knows the trails like the lines of a treasured map, offers nature lovers 13 years of age and up the chance to learn the trade.

First-come, first-served access to the materials and tools allows participants to create something both practical and unique. Under the supervision of Ranger Rick, each participant will mold a piece of nature into their reliable hiking partner as the tools glide through the forest. DeKalb County announced that there is no prerequisite for this interactive session, which aims to infuse each produced product with the essence of nature.
