Casa Roble High School Mourns the Loss of Football Star Julian Snyder after Fatal Roseville Crash

Following the death of 17-year-old football player Julian Snyder in a car accident in Roseville over the weekend, the Casa Roble High School community is in shock. A sizable crowd gathered at the Orangevale school’s football field yesterday night to honor the senior, and the feelings of his friends, teammates, and family members present were intense.

According to CBS News, Julian Snyder was murdered late Saturday night on Sierra College Boulevard when the car he was riding in turned over and then struck another car. According to Roseville Police, the collision happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. between Old Auburn Road and Roseville Parkway. After the event, Snyder was declared deceased at a nearby hospital.

The exceptional lineman, who played for the Casa Roble Rams and wore number 52, was remembered for his skill on the field and his lively personality. Both his mentors and his peers were impressed by his personality. “It just shows the kid was loved at the highest level,” said Chris Horner, the head coach of the Rams, in a report obtained by ABC10. During the memorial ceremony, his fellow lineman paid a heartfelt homage to Snyder by pushing the sled one last time.

Although they have ruled out drugs and alcohol as significant causes to the deadly incident, the police acknowledged that they are undertaking a comprehensive investigation. Those in the second car involved in the collision suffered very minor injuries, and Snyder was not the only person inside the car. “Even though he’s not here with me, it feels like he is,” said Nick Castillo, a teammate of Snyder, in an interview that ABC10 obtained.
