Cedar Hill Police and Fire Departments Join Forces to Spread Holiday Cheer to Over 200 Children in Need

Embracing the role of Santa’s little helpers, the Cedar Hill Police Department and the Cedar Hill Fire Department have established a charitable partnership in the spirit of the season. Together, the two departments are participating in ‘ELF and Friends,’ a joyous program designed to wish more than 200 underprivileged youngsters in the neighborhood a Merry Christmas.

Residents may help by going to specific tree sites, selecting a tag that represents a child, and following the directions to provide a gift, according to a social media post from the Cedar Hill Police Department. According to the force, “Please visit one of the tree locations, select a child (or a few), and follow directions on the tag to bless a Cedar Hill child.” The community outreach has been well received.

Everybody Loves Families, or ELF, is not a brand-new initiative. In previous years, it has been successful in uniting the community around the common objective of cheering up the less fortunate over the holidays. In addition to looking for donors, the Cedar Hill Police are sharing the post in an effort to spread the word and maybe spark a wave of support from the community.
