Central High School Student in Critical Condition After Memphis Shooting, Suspect Apprehended

A student was critically injured during a targeted shooting on the grounds of Central High School in Memphis. The incident occurred yesterday around 2:44 p.m. in the school’s parking lot. Local police responded to the scene behind 306 South Bellevue Boulevard and discovered the male victim, a student at Central High, with multiple gunshot wounds.WREGreported that he was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

The Memphis Police Department advised that, after the shooting with multiple gunshot wounds, a juvenile was found injured. The suspect also believed to be a student, was located in the vicinity of Vinton Avenue and Bellevue Boulevard, where officers utilized a stun gun to apprehend the individual and recover a Glock 43 9mm handgun.
