The Chicago Police Department (CPD) has reported a spate of commercial burglaries in the Back of the Yards area of Chicago. The public is informed about these occurrences that have taken place in the 9th District by the CPD’s alert, which also provides specifics on the mode of entry used by criminals who broke into businesses through the back door.
The burglaries in question occurred in the early hours of November 18 on the 4700 and 4600 blocks of S. Ashland Ave. The first incident was reported at 3:16 A.M., and the second at 4:22 A.M., at the same location. The burglars forced their way into the establishments and took a variety of items, though the authorities have not yet revealed the exact nature of the stolen goods.

Other suspects are also dressed in dark clothing and have ski masks on to hide their identity. During the commission of these offenses, they were observed driving a red minivan with the license plate EM38484.
Businesses in the area have been urged to stay alert and take preventative actions, including as enhancing perimeter lighting, making sure windows and doors are secure, and fixing any damaged access points right away. When surveillance footage shows an incident, business owners are urged to preserve and give a copy for investigative purposes. If an incident does occur, they are also urged to refrain from altering the scene and to call the police right away; if a witness provides information, they should also get their information.
