Clark County School Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved K9 Officer Marley

News of a loss has been shared by the Clark County School District Police Department: K9 Marley has died. He was a black American Labrador dog who worked with police since 2020. A post on the Clark County School District Police Department’s Facebook page says the 5-year-old dog died suddenly after being taken in for medical care.

The reason of Marley’s death has not been made public, but he was pronounced dead at a nearby animal hospital. Marley was a valued part of the K-9 team and helped keep the school community safe during his years of service. The Clark County School District Police Department said, “Marley will be missed by his fellow K-9 team and department members as well as the whole CCSD community.”

Since 2020, Marley has been a member of the Clark County School District Police Department, where he did a variety of tasks that helped the school police do their jobs. From finding illegal substances to taking part in different community involvement projects.
