Clarksville to Illuminate the Holidays with Market, Lights, and Dazzling Drone Show at McGregor Park

Clarksville is set to kick off its holiday season with various festive events and a captivating drone show at McGregor Park. According to an announcement from the

City of Clarksville

, the community is invited to gather on November 23 for the second annual Holiday Market, the inauguration of Christmas on the Cumberland, and a debut drone display engineered to light up the winter night.

The daytime will see the Holiday Market starting at 2 p.m., offering attendees a blend of local craftsmanship and global food until 8 p.m. With handcrafted gifts, holiday decorations, and a variety of cuisines, the market serves as a reflection of Clarksville’s diverse cultural landscape. Celebrations will also include the grand opening of Christmas on the Cumberland at 5 p.m., set against a backdrop of live entertainment, including dance and caroling performances.

The switch on over one million lights is scheduled to be flipped by Mayor Joe Pitts at 6 p.m., which will signify the commencement of this festive tradition. This illuminated spectacle along the Cumberland Riverwalk will remain accessible to visitors daily until January 2, from 5-10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and with extended weekend hours.

Enhancing this year’s holiday experience, a high-flying drone show presented by Firefly Drone Shows begins shortly after lights around 6 p.m. The 15-minute aerial display of 200 drones will form a series of Christmas-themed images, including a massive Christmas tree and Santa Claus. Set to holiday music, the drone ballet promises to be a visual feast, soaring up to 300 feet high and stretching 600 feet wide, according to event details provided by Clarksville Parks and Recreation.
