Clearwater Beach Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival Goes Prehistoric with “DinoShores” Theme for 2025 Event

The annual Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival at Clearwater Beach will have a new prehistoric theme come spring of next year. This year’s immersive sand sculpture theme, “DinoShores: A Prehistoric Adventure in Sand!” will be available for guests to explore from April 11 to April 27, 2025, according to the organizers.

Now in its eleventh year of success, the festival takes Clearwater’s famous sugar sand to new artistic heights by fusing sculpture skills with public entertainment. The festival features a varied schedule that includes performances and concerts in addition to the main attraction, the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit, during its 17-day run. The expansion of this important feature to 24,000 square feet is expected to bring an augmented reality experience that will give the elaborate sand sculptures a new depth.

The cost to enter this experience is $14 per person, which does not include the unavoidable tax, but it allows children under the age of three to enter free of charge, giving their inquisitive eyes free admission. According to the event’s press release, special people who serve as the backbone of our society—military personnel, law enforcement, firefighters, educators, and healthcare professionals—are given a token of appreciation by receiving discounted $10 tickets on special days known as “Beachside Hospitality ‘Frontline Fridays.”
